At Dead Pixel Test, we prioritize user privacy above all else. Our diagnostic utilities (Dead Pixel Test, Stuck Pixel Test, Screen Resolution Detector, Refresh Rate Sampler, Backlight Bleed Viewer, Grayscale Test, and Webcam Tester) operate 100% locally within your web browser.
We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal information, display specs, webcam video streams, or microphone audio recordings.
2. WebRTC & Media Stream Permissions
When using the Webcam Test tool, your browser requests permission to access your local camera feed. This stream is processed strictly in your device's active RAM memory through standard HTML5 canvas elements. No video frames, screenshots, or metadata are ever transmitted to our servers.
3. Local Storage Usage
Our diagnostic feedback engine uses browser `localStorage` solely on your device to remember test completion status (e.g. whether your screen passed inspection) across sessions. This data remains strictly in your browser and is never synced remotely.
